We are living in a time when powerful forces are working to undermine our democracy. Across America — and here in Kansas — millions are being disenfranchised. Voter roll purges, intimidation, and restrictive laws are silencing hard working Kansans.

Now more than ever, we must make sure our voices are heard loud and clear in opposition. The Kansas Voter Empowerment Project (KSVEP PAC) was created to counter these attacks with a unified, year-round effort to register, educate, and turn out voters — every election, every year.

Our Purpose

  • Register and empower progressive voters
  • Turn occasional voters into consistent voters
  • Push back against voter suppression

What Makes Us Different

  • Trust through education: We avoid persuasion and focus on voter education, earning trust across the political spectrum.
  • Independent of party structures: Contacts from parties or candidates can feel biased — our independence ensures neutrality and credibility
  • Long-term voter adoption: Unlike groups that shift priorities with leadership changes, our structure ensures consistent, multi-year voter outreach.

What We Do

  • Canvassing & Outreach: Direct contact at the doors, phones, and by text — the most effective way to reach low-propensity voters. In fact, our Wichita test showed a 197% increase in turnout for voters contacted by these combined efforts in municipal elections.
  • Voter Education: Information on elections, how to vote early or by mail, and issue-focused guides like our Black Votes Matter mailers
  • Year-Round Commitment: Local elections build lifetime voters. Data shows that Kansans who start voting in odd-year local elections are far more likely to become consistent voters in all elections
